Thanksgiving falls on the 22nd Nov this year and has its historical roots in religious and cultural traditions. Even though not as popular as its compatriot Halloween in Hong Kong, for some of us sitting around a meal with friends or loved ones and catching up on events and memories on this day is a custom we don’t want to miss. Okra - Sai Ying Pun
Looking for a new twist to thanksgiving day? Then head on over to Okra which is a japanese themed restaurant serving food comprised of the best, natural ingredients with simple japanese cooking techniques. The thank immigrants day set menu is only available on November 23 at 6pm, 8pm, 10pm, for HKD 388. Dishes include dry aged beef tongue, shropshire blue cheese salad, buttermilk fried quail, oyster gumbo, pumpkin shot and milk punch. What are you waiting for?

This year, Shoreditch is serving an all-American Thanksgiving feast! Some highlights of the special menu includes buttermilk fried turkey with twice baked mac cheese and pumpkin pie with toasted marshmallows, music will also be blasted to awaken your senses as it is their aim to develop an interactive dining experience at the Shoreditch, are your tastebuds craving for some delectable delicacies?

The Big Bite Flame grill- Shek Tong Tsui
This Canadian-themed restaurant emphasizes on delivering the flame grilled flavour which will remind customers of a summer backyard BBQ and they offer a wide range of craft beers for customers.Signature dishes include the roast turkey and porchetta set which includes sauteed french beans in tomato sauce, glazed turnips and carrots, rosemary roasted potatoes or creamy mashed potatoes, kale and quinoa salad, feta, blueberry, honey-glazed walnuts with dijon dressing.

La Paloma - Sai Ying Pun
This contemporary spanish restaurant meaning “ pigeon” is your best chance for a dynamic blend of spanish/ mediterranean influences, its concept of fun, affordable, value for money and interactive dining experience will put your tastebuds into the festive thanksgiving mood. From the 23-26 November, the restaurant is serving a creative thanksgiving menu which contains dishes such as barbecued iberico pork with smoked baby eggplants, beef cheek with foie gras and apples.
