LocalHood (www.localhood.org) invites you to a guided visit to the HK Observatory.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui, the Observatory Headquarters enjoys a serenity uncharacteristic of this hectic business area. It is surrounded by rich fauna and flora, some of which quite uncommon in Hong Kong.

The guided tour will take the visitors backward in time to trace the development of the Observatory in the past 140 years. Visitors can see how weather forecasts are made and how technology is put to use. They will also observe how weather observations are made using meteorological instruments.

NOTE: Due to security reasons, the HKO highly recommends attendance limited to 6yr+ children.

WHERE: Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters, 134A Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.

NOTE 1a: Event will start on time so please come 10 mns before starting time.

NOTE 1b: All participating KIDS have to be 6yr+ and have to be supervised!!

NOTE 2: YOU are requested to bring along your HKID for the event as it may be asked at the entrance.

NOTE 3: Eating and drinking are prohibited during visits.

NOTE 4: It is recommended that participants wear long-sleeved clothing or apply insect repellent to prevent mosquito bites and insect stings.
